Swan river crabs.

Crabs have been vey slow. And over the last couple of seasons have been getting hammered with more and more people realising they can get big boys in the river. Do you think there should be a ban put in place for a season or two to let them recover before it gets to delapitated. As usual everyone reacts to late and the damage has been done. We used to do 2 pulls and have our20. And quite often we would have double bangers haven't had one for years just a thought to see what everyone else thinks. Cheers.

Worked in mandurah and
Worked in mandurah and cockburn sound so yep im all for it.
18 months from egg to sized so if the ban was for two summers there would have to be a big improvement.

Can't comment on the swan
I can't comment on what things are like in the swan as reguards crabs but the ban has certaily done wonders for the crabs at mandurah, bigger and more plentiful.

it was packed at claremont
it was packed at claremont jetty the other night with crab nets out at EVERY pylon.
i'd say about 10% of the crabs that were pulled up were sized. its good to see everyone throwing back the little ones and the pregnant females though :)
