Swan River family friendly fishing spot

Hey Guys, planning on going fishing tonight with the family. The plan is, we head to the swan river with the rods, a portable bbq and get a line in the water (or sit on the grass if your not into fishing).

so i was wondering if anyone knew of some spots where you can pull up a nice patch of grass, but also have a chance of a fish? I'm not expecting someones secret spot, just a little advice!

Thanks in advance.

Go to the Bayswater rowing club. It's just near ascot race course. Has heaps of grass. Park and bbq setup too. Always get heaps of fish here too. Bream, whiting, blowies haha, even get baby tailor flatties etc.
