Flatties
Placcies work well but will get smashed by blowies if they're around. I prefer hard body minnows. If you have a tight budget grab some Halco RMG Scorpions 52mm in 1.5m and 2.5m depths. If you have more cash then Zipbaits Khamsin Tiny and Jr work very well. As for spots, Google earth is your friend! Find a sand flat and go from there. Have fun!

Go to claremont jetty at
Go to claremont jetty at night and fish under the first light. If it isn't packed with a million people you will get a few on the jigs. If nothing there move to any jetty that has a light shining in the water. It attracts the bait and the flatties sit in ambush. You can normally see them buried in the sand. During the day fish anywhere in the river on sand flats and you'll be in with a chance.
