swan river sesh... and swan sambos
on thuresday, whent down to the river for a bream sesh...., fished some new locations with good results, first location using mainly vibes, and the occasional plastic, I pulled 3 bream, 2 flathead, lots of herring and some nice tailor all on konganku vibes and my mate puled out a flathead and some herring.
we then moved spots and I got instantly rewarded with a close to 40cm silver bream (arround 38cm), then shortly after picked up a juvinile pinkie and my mate caught a wrasse!!! lol haha
moved again and ended up getting a couple more smaller bream.
today,
started off at the same spot as thuresday and we picked up 2 flatties, 4 bream, herring and some wierd fish... lol.
moved again about an hour before sunset to get some sambos!!!, as soon as we got there, about 5th cast, I hooked upto my fist for the day, and after it trying to bust me off in every pylon in the area, and taking lots of line, i finally landed it. it was caught on a Zipbait sinking stick bait, worked verry fast and vigerous. not too long after hooked into another one, this time on a live bait, and he almost drilled me a couple of times in the pylons and shreded my light leader but somehow finally landed it. it had a demunted/retarded tail but still fought exeptionally well!!!!, changed to a new leader and sent down another livey which didnt get eaten, so when i was winding it back up, about 10-15 sambos, came charging up after it and one nailed it on the surface like a GT smashing a popper. was awesome!!!
unfortunetally my mates didn't land any sambos.
I also got another bream and some retarded fish..... I am pretty sure that it is a Rough eye??? (last picture)
cheers,
good fishing all

You seem to be killing it in
You seem to be killing it in the river mate, well done. Crazy the colour on those sambos at that size.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Those little sambos pull
Those little sambos pull hard, I used to think they were some sort of trevally!!
Very visual style of fishing with those little rats - especially when you see your hardbody getting smashed by a gang of them. Love it. Good work!

awesome catches and i noticed the weird tail on the sambo too! I think it was honsu who caught a fairly large one in the river and the tail was all demented as well! Strange...
