Swan river squid help.

Hey there. Just started squidding with a mate around the river. We're both new to it so we know nothing about it. Headed out today around 12 to Fishermans Harbour in freo and stayed there for a couple hours, but caught nothing. Then we moved to the jetty near the Water polo club in Bicton, caught nothing. Then we moved to Claremont jetty and this was around 6.30 and it was pretty windy, we stayed till 8 and well caught nothing.

We're wondering if we could follow someone along for a squid sesh? And learn some stuff about it?

PS. One of my squid jig has the cloth coming apart from under the jig is there anyway of fixing this?

Thanks.
