I used to keep all my fishig gear I my dad's garage, but now ive been keeping my good reels safe in my room. With all these break ins its too risky to keep them in the open like that.

Same here. Be pro-active, keep expensive items indoors, keep garage door closed at all times so prying eyes can't see anything tempting etc

as long as you notify your insurance co that you have valuables stored in your shed then it's covered, I have alarm sensors in the shed which I put on when we are in the house, goes off if someone goes in the shed while we are in the house. Insurance co covers sheds. I have 1000's in tools in there and its all covered. Same as fishing and camping gear. Don't know who your with but sheds are covered by my insurance co.
on another note filthy dogs, obviously they new what a saltiga was and thought we can quickly grab and run off.

Evidence of forced entry is likely a stipulation, but otherwise items in the shed should be covered on most policies.

I can relate - there seem to be a flux of tackle theft both professional and petty theft. Wonder where the gear is going. Frustrating mate. Thanks for sharing.

Haven't been out for a fish since. Pricks! If i caught them in the act i wouldn't be asking any questions.

Hey Dazza, same happened to my brother cleaning out his beer fridge over time about 4 times. His solution was to emptied the beer out and he pissed in 6 and left them there. Happened again a few weeks later and they took the lot. They haven't been back since.

This year I've had a few random things taken from my yard in karratha which is out of the ordinary for my suburb - no probs with the fridge yet, but VB is the 'poison' of choice I've chosen as well. Who actually drinks that shit!

While on the subject of stealing bastards

Sat, 2014-03-29 17:57

I saw on the news last night that the newest thing for stealing bastards is to wait until you go into the servo shop to pay for your fuel then they quickly dive into your car and grab everything in sight and do a bolt. All over in 30 seconds so now you lock up the car to walk 20 metres and pay the petrol bill geeez god help us for what the world is coming to.

Sun, 2014-03-30 11:36

Always lock my car at the servo Meglo , your right the shitheels are super quick. I watched one casing out our table while at fitness class a few weeks back. Then he saw me eyeballing him and willing him on try something so I could wring his neck. He ended up doing a wide circle around our group and got into some poor unfortunates car on the other side of the oval we heard later. I should have just rung his neck. Another story there's a park bench that's about 100m from where we train and some exercises we have to sprint up there. One particular night my training buddy came back from a sprint and said the 'Dark skinned fella' sitting on the bench up there just asked if he wanted to "buy something" fark me! The scum don't even care who they ask. I'm thinking about mentioning this to the coppers as he was there again last week.
