Tagged fish capture

Nabbed a few ripper pinks on an overnighter last night, with the biggest one measuring in at 91cm and sporting two fisheries tags. Anyone know/recognise tag numbers PE 05257/PE 05258? Keen to find out whose tag it is :)

Recapture Info

With the Fisheries Research Pink Snapper tagging program there's only a few taggers and Ryan Thipthorp (shop owner) is one of the main ones.

If you want, PM us all the details including your details so we can pass that on to the right person @ Fisheries Research. It doesnt take long to get the info back from the tagging database from what Ryan said.

Cheers fellas, I thought Ryan might be the go to man. I called the fisheries hotline when I got home but there was no feedback, it was just a very brief recorded message asking to leave my details. So I wanted to find out whose tag it was to get some more details, like where and when it was tagged, etc. Will PM you the details, cheers.

Did you release it

Did you put another tag in it and release it, or is it now in a number of fillets in the freezer.

I'm not part of the tagging

I'm not part of the tagging program so that wasn't an option. I do a lot of catch and release fishing but this fish was kept for the table. Skeleton going to fisheries today.
