Hi Guys,
I'm just after some advise about Cervantes in May I will be taking my youngest son (3) and the missus for a weekend of fishing and cray fishing I'm hoping to catch a decent Dhuie or Snapper for then as long as conditions suit I also wanted to drop some pots and was after any advise that could help make this trip a success, not after GPS locations just some general advise to help catch them there first decent fish so I can get them hooked on fishing. What depth are the crays at this time of year?
Any advise or previous experience at Cervantes would be great thanks!!!!

Surge can make retrieving a bit tricky (usually in a 2.5+ swell).
This time of year you wont have to travel far at all for Dhu and Pinks.

Thanks for the replies guys,
Thanks for the replies guys, weather looking a bit suss this weekend now anyway but house has been booked already. Might try and launch from Jurien Bay and try the inside of the islands for some snapper weather permitting. I've taken my son out wide from Mindarie a couple of times in good weather of course he loves it wack a life jacket on him and throw in his ben ten rod would never take him out in dangerous sea's though. Hopefully we can get out on Sunday anchor and burley and see how we go!
