Headed down to Trigg Point this morn about 5.30am. Walked out on the reef baitcasting mulies and ended up with 4 tailor (35-45cm) and 1 good lil salmon (52cm).
One guy was using metals and only managed the one, and another guy got nothing on roosta 80s. Seemed to take a liking to bait this morn!
good fun though, got soaked by the waves but it was worth it..

get onto west coast highway
get onto west coast highway go through scarborough, then after scarborough a couple of k's ull see the trigg surf life saving club then the point is just out there, ull see the reefy section! be careful if u go on the reef, the waves knock u round a bit and one slip and ull get pushed off the reef! watch out for the pot holes on the reef aswell, get urself a good pair of reef booties and make sure the swell is under 2m!

yeh i had to rickets, they wouldnt touch poppers and only 1 fish was landed on a slug...next time im just gonna take metals!
nw jas, good luck mate hope u get into a few, make sure ur there 530-7am and watch yourself on the reef

Seen and heard of good reports from all over the metro.
Seems like they are gettin bigger due to averyone doing the right thing and taking only whats needed and releasing the ones that are undersized or even just on
