Targeting King George

Just looking for some help/Tips in regard to finding some KG's.

Fish out from ocean reef, generally in the 40M area and don't have a problem with dhuies etc. But cant seem to find KG's. Generally fish Coral, Weed and small lumps.

What do you look for on the sounder (bottom wise).

Cheers
Dean

The best KG's

The best KG's I have encountered are just on the edges of the main structures. I have tried using a trailing hook below the sinker with some limited success when fishing the smaller lumps for Dhuies and snapper. Haven't quite sussed it yet but it is promising.

Good advice!

The only way to get a prefered species like KG as an example is to target them!  it's just a matter of finding the grounds, you need to move around. I'll get out targetting KG's myself soon, when I get back from my billfish comp next week!
