Taxidermy in Perth

Hi guys, Just a quick question about Taxidermy .
Just found my sailfish tail in the shed after 25yrs and its looking pretty bad but still has the shape etc. I would love to get it done back to the way it looked when i caught it , its huge, came off a 3 meter sailfish 105 pounds.
If its to far gone i would like to use it as reference size to get one made up.
It will go in a huge framed display along with the original rig, rod & reel, Images and news paper image. Over all the perfect display for my best landbased capture from the best place that means the most to me on planet earth.
Any help muchly appreciated
marc

I have had two fish done by Lyndon Smith of Coolbellup and can say he does a good job. However I know some guys who have had them done by the WA Museum and it worked out cheaper but it was a long wait.

Awesome idea mark, would love to see the end product
The art of fishing consists of casting, winding, trolling and jigging
while freezing, sweating, swatting and swearing.

Most fish are done by making
Most fish are done by making a mould and then a fibreglass cast is made from that and when its painted looks the real deal. Some taxidermists prefer to do skin mounts where the real skin of the fish is used but this method is more expensive and they tend to deteriorate over time. I had mine done about 20 years ago in fibreglass and they are still as good as they day I got them. From memory I paid arounnd $200 for a 4kg fish.
