Currently looking at a Seafarer and am ready to get out there.
If anyone can give me any heads-up on how hard it is to get a VHF radio licence please do tell.

On licences ect . He is on site. He will point you in right direction.

Welcome and don't let the licence thing put you off using the radio to log on/off. From the many sounds of those doing just that, I would say at least 30% have never done a course.
