Thoughts on 2006 quintrex freedom sport 610 Yamaha 150 4st capabilities

Been looking at bowriders and I was chasing a trailcraft but can't find one anywhere (with a realistic price)... After looking around the missus suggested getting something bigger in maybe a quintrex, I know they are a mass produced boat but we/she & the two kids (4yo 6yo) have fallen in love with a 2006 freedom sport 610 with a 150 4st yammi... Done 57 hours fully optioned out along with trim tabs (USA brand know nothing about them... Stainless flaps) has anyone Owened this particular boat with a 150 4st... How was it in the chop and a following sea and out wide if you ventured that far? Will be used for crabbing, squidding, insore fishing, and the occasional out wide fishing and family trips to rotto...

Yeah went and had a look at
Yeah went and had a look at that one, pretty rough, no brakes on trailer, needs a bit spent on it plus 150 two stroke... I know 44k is top dollar for that type of boat but literally needs nothing spent on it but cheers boppo... Just after people's thoughts that have had them in rough conditions and how they found them, I know Being ally won't be anything like a glass boat.

hi mate, i have a 560
hi mate, i have a 560 freedom sport with a 90 honda on the back and have been to the fads etc with it, on the really rough days it pays to take it a little slower, but all in all i feel safe as hell on it, never had a problem with it and have found it is a great boat. yes there are better but with three kids they love the bow section, i have the casting insert for the front deck which makes it even more enjoyable when throwing stickbaits and poppers at fish busting up. its a great all rounder, river cruising, rotto trips and fishing.
to fish or not to fish...as if there was an option.

Had a coastrunner 590 with 115 Yamaha 4 stroke, Same hull as the freedom sports. No problems off shore, plenty of trips to fads and further. Very capable and had plenty of comments how the boat ride was better than other ali boats of bigger size.

Hi, I had a 600 Ocean Sport
Hi, I had a 600 Ocean Sport with 150 EFI Merc some years back and it was a great boat, very stable platform at rest and a great dry ride.
The only negative was it was great riding and dry as but when the chop got too much the ride was not as good as other offshore hulls of the same size, but then who wants to be out there in those conditions anyway?
The later Vflair hulls are stronger with more ribs and fully welded where mine was not. I broke the welds on the first rib forward from the transom after slapping the back of the hull on a wave crest so I guessed I asked for it but to Quintrex' credit they carried out the repairs at no charge and even fitted an extra rib so it didn't happen again. In the process they also discovered a couple of weld cracks in the forward section of the hull and fixed that too.
It was great to have that kind of backup. If the hull was out of warranty it would have been a different story of course.

2000 Ocean Sport Quintrex
I've had the same thing happen on my boat that is powered by a 115 4stroke Yamaha. A couple of ribs had the welds cracked after being caught in some ugly weather a couple of years back. The boat is a year 2000 production. Had a local guy re-do the welds and have not had any trouble since (touch wood)
