Tiger meeting knife and plenty of more pics added

The first pic is a reasonable size tiger, caught north of Hedland The other two pics show what's left of a mako after being chewed on by small thickskins off Hamelin Bay, saved the decky a job of cleaning it, kept the jaws
Have added what pics I have found, most from down south .
The two boats are the ones we worked up north, Jetline [compliments to Rob H] and Mandy J2.
Nice to be able to work with my boy and have some interesting memories to show for it, like having Alby land on the deck and it not being at all interested in having a go at you.
The thresher was caught about 300 metres out from the moorings at Quindalup

Cool pics... so what would
Cool pics... so what would these larger sharks be used for, wouldn't the mercury levels be high in these larger sharks?

Overseas Market
All the meat was brined to bring the core temp down, plastic wrapped , snap frozen then sent to overseas markets. As long as we got paid for each container before it was shipped so I could pay the crew and bills then what they did with it was their business.
The big dollars was for the fin but unless you could demonstrate that you had a viable market for the meat then you couldn't operate.

Which one?
Which boat, the one showing the tiger shark or the one with the mako frame?
We had two boats in the time up north , Jetline and later Mandy J2. The one with the mako was called Down South, working from Augusta through to Bunbury

Jeff
Will stick one of him on later showing off his first red emperor on our very first Gnaraloo trip. You have to remember that he's 41 now to give an indication of how long ago

Red
We were dropping a hand line in and Jeff said there is a fish on, I took the line and told him to put some gloves on, you hooked it, you land it, and that was the first time he had been in to a serious fish other than salmon.
Took him a while but we couldn't stop him after that and still hasn't.

Requirements
Need to bring them in as proof we were not finning and dumping the carcasses. Sent off to market with the rest and if I remember we got 50 cents a Kg for it

Cool. Love the baby Mako. IMO
Cool. Love the baby Mako. IMO the "deadliest" looking shark. Always looks more agro than a GW.
