Trailer Brakes

I have a US trailer that has come in with Poly Tubing for the hydraulic brakes.

Does anyone know what the situation is in WA regarding the legality ( or otherwise) of using poly tubing instead of copper ?

Had a mate go thru this on a trailer he imported with his boat.
When he had the rego inspection done they rejected it as the poly tube wasn't marked with an AS code.

He was told poly is ok as long as it is marked with an Australian Standards code

I dont think there were any markings on the tubing, so probably have to replace with copper. Not too big a job if the boat wasn't on the trailer

Just spoken to the guys at Hydraline and that seems the way to go. All ready with no cutting, flaring etc and the fittings will suit my Hydrastar actuator and Kodiak brakes

Thanks all for the info

Cheers

PS, Johno67, how much approx did Robs Trailer charge ?
