Trailor brakes

Hope someone can help me out.

when it comes to trailor brakes what is the minimum requirements to get a trailor licenced that is rated for 2000kg

E.G. Drum on both axles , Disc on single  or electronic.

Also what are peoples thoughts on using led lights on the boat trailors, are they suitable or just go with the standard ones.

Requirements

Over 750 and up to 2000kg - single axle brakes, over-ride brakes permitted.

Over 2000kg - all wheels must be braked, must be an electro-hydraulic or similar system, must have a breakaway mechanism.

All info is here - http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/licensing/lbu_vs_ib_107.pdf

There are other experts on here like Rob H who can give more details.

Led lights

make life easier for your self and install marine LED trailer lights , most units are brighter than standard globes and wont have any issues with lamp holders rusting up .   Make sure all connections are soldered and where possible keep away from water imersion spots
