Transducer install
Submitted by donlovesfishing on Sat, 2019-04-06 18:23
Hi fellow fishos.. been have a few dramas with my transducer install. It’s a p66 and is installed about 10-15 mm below the bottom of the hull. Wen I trim my motor up, it seems to get a better pic but as soon as the motor is trimmed down then there is a lot of clutter on the screen like bubbles. Any ideas of whether to put the transducer lower or higher to clear it up.. thanks I’m advance..

Maybe go lower ? And make sure there is nothing on the hull in front that can be causing air bubbles. I went thru the same thing and popped some pictures up for future reference in case it might help someone. Just suggestion
Sounds like it's too close to the outboard/centre of the boat to me .
Should be on starboard side too.

If the bottom is not breaking
If the bottom is not breaking up then it’s inteference. Some out boards generate more noise then others, try moving from the outboard.
