Transducers Ali Hull

Apologies for the round about response. I couldnt manage to respond to initial query? not sure why. Anyway a shot of 2x2kw transducers that I had on the back of my Barcrusher. Not a lot of mounting options but I had plenty of success with what is shown.

Which transducers are they?

I'm looking at fitting a 1kw Chirp trannie sometime soon on the port side but still debating about what to do. I was worried about prop interference on that side. I'm assuming that you are having no dramas from prop wash on that side?

Its not a perfect system in my opinion. Just the best that I could see being practical at the time. No, I didnt receive any prop interference.

2x 2kw transducers and a Barcrusher, we are obviously on different pay scales! hahaha

looks like an awesome setup, I am sure there would have been plenty of fish coming over the sides!

The tranducers pods and mounting brackets were made locally. I would touch base with one of the guys at All Boats as thats where they were originally fitted. I would cruise around between 20-25kts and pick up things that might be of interest on the screen. Circle back to prove things out at a slower rate

The mounts have been developed and made by Ben Punch at Fibrelite boats.

Give him a call he has a lot of experience mounting transducers and fault finding issues
