trollin for tailor

has any one trolled for tailor or anyhting heading from freo to rotto will be going on a boat soon and i have heared about trolling for tailor has any one tryed it ?

In the Mandurah estuary
In the Mandurah estuary system we do all right in summer and early autumn trolling the smaller Smilin Jacks...majority are undersize but we usually come away with a feed. A workmate of mine reckons he was getting them up to 2 kg last summer, doing the same thing. Don't know how you'd go this time of year, though.
The weed beds on the eastern side of Garden Island have also produced for me in the past, again, using the Smilin Jacks. Oh and we go between idle speed and about 1000 revs for this sort of thing.
