Trolling for mulloway

Has anyone had any luck trolling in the upper reaches of the swan for a mulloway? What lures do you think might get there attention ?

 I reckon divers deep enough

I reckon divers deep enough to scrap the bottom - knock knock on mully's door.

According to Tim (from Tim's tackle plus), use typical barra lures and lift your rod every now and then to impart irregular action to the lure.

Look for deep holes where the fish likely to ambush for baitfish.

 Trolling in kayaks in Albany

Tue, 2017-11-14 22:22

Trolling in kayaks in Albany we get them. We use shallow diving lures and mostly surface lures when casting as they tend to hit lures higher in the water when they are actively feeding. Deeper lures its harder as they tend to be slouching about when they are deeper instead of up higher feeding on mullet near the top.
