Boy still in England ( Luke ) still trying for his big pike . He bought a new 6 inch lure ( video he sent me it swims unreal) he landed the silver looking trout about half hour ago on the new pike lure . Other one last week . 15 pounds a day to fish a private dam ( huge) . He is so determined to get big pike . No dought in my mind he will get one over 30 lb . That’s what he is chasing . Funny thing is when he was on track going into property he was talking to me . And he beeps horn and said get out of the way dumb bird( 10 ks an hour) pheasant walking in front of him . I told him to boot car .pluck/ gutt and put in oven . Good opportunity gone there .

My grandfather told me years
My grandfather told me years ago about a big estate he worked on in England in the Kent countryside how they'd hang the Pheasants and let the flesh basically rot and wipe the feathers off. Apparently they loved eating game like that back then. Fark that.

Yep that’s what
My dad did . Hang them for 3 to 7 days ( depending on weather) over in England . Just before they turn green , vomit material .

Great fish
Brings back great memories of me chasing big browns in the Mataura River in Southland in NZ as a youngster, you would walk the banks for miles and every now and then you would find that 10 lb monster, not often ,even a 5lb fish made you happy, kept you wanting to go hunting time after time.
thanks for sharing LJ, tight lines.
