So I have been out a few times in the past weeks trying to hook some bream but no luck so far, I have been fishing around Guildford/ashfield area using peeled prawns and bloodies, any advice would be appreciated :)

Maybe try Mullet chunks.......
I'm not sure what setup you have but light gear and a running ball sinker should do the trick. Leave the bail arm over so that the fish can make a run. All reports are that Bream are in numbers up that way.

My setup
I have been using a 6' Jarvis walker skorpion rod, with a shimano alivio 2500fb reel, with a #4 shiner and running ball sinker, but my dad just gave me a 7' outer mark Orpheus graphite rod and a similar reel but with braid line so I'm keen to give that one ago, ive only just started fishing again and keen to get my first catch back in the game

Moore River
You should head up to Guilderton and try the moore river. You will definately catch there, although its mostly small stuff.
The odd big bream is always around.

I fished guilford, just near
I fished guilford, just near west swan rd last night, was catching them from 7:30 till what I predicted to be low tide, it went still as and the fish went off the bite. I used prawns and live yabbies. Got a couple around 270mm, bound to be some big ones in that area. Just gota fish in areas that they are likely to be, they like snags, pilons etc...Mulloway can be caught too when bream fishing, so its not a bad idea to target them with another rod if you're sitn put for a while catching bream.

Just a thought... Does anyone
Just a thought... Does anyone keep black bream to eat? Iv never been fond of eating anything out of the river, but this time of the year the rivers pretty clean, wonder what they're like to eat, whats the minimum size?

My daughters and I had some
My daughters and I had some success near Lilac Hill reserve, mind you this was before the big rains. A lot of snags for bream and an easy set set up for kids - light line, tiny ball sinker, deheaded whole prawn, and their habit of leaving the line slack helps the bream get on :)
