Pearl Jam
Haven't heard any Pearl Jam in ages, brings back a few memories. Great clip, looks like the sharkies were having a bit of a feed amongst the chaos as well.

Thanks Adam, yeah the tuna
Thanks Adam, yeah the tuna run hot here from time to time. The fish that bites off the back of that tuna is actually a big Barracuda. It just sat there looking at us with the tuna tail in it's mouth for a few seconds before spitting it out and swimming away. They're evil those things!
cheers,
steve

What Lures did you use?
Looked like small metal baitfish imitations, say 30g or so. Hard to tell from the footage.
Awesome action by the way. I bet that little session got the adrenalin running.
Cheers

woah.......time to break out
woah.......time to break out the bream gear......looks like the local bonnies are no match for these mack tunas. I wonder if 100m of 8lb braid is enough.......

we were getting some grey
we were getting some grey mackies up north, around the 80-90cm mark on bream gear. Unfortunatly 6lb braid wasnt enough, lost alot of gear that day and we managed to seize a symetre 2500.

Nice footage...looks kind of familiar;)
Is there a prize for best supporting actor?
Andy- I was using 60gram raider 'sniper' slugs. I'm pretty sure Steve was using Gillies slugs around 35g.

Here in Cairns the tuna seem to be most numerous in the warmer months, but can be found most of the year in various numbers.

We're supposed to start
We're supposed to start getting em that size from August, but apparently the season has started a little early this year, so I'm hoping that translates into me being able to boat a few this weekend. If I get some I'll post pics.
