Any bargains?
Were, are there any bargains on offer or is everyone going a bit over the top?
It is sad to see another dealer close down,
some times, - most of the time I try to buy local; if the prices are not excessive, however when there are hundreds and hundreds of dollars difference, it make's it hard to support the prices being charged sometimes.

Mainly over priced. Was looking at buying the 25fttrophy pro for $75k but got outbid and then got outbid after $65k on the 21 outrage. Oh well time to import a 24outrage

The tinnys and Sea Ray cruisers seemed to go pretty cheaply. Does anyone know how much the Bayliner Discovery went for?

The Discovery was cheap, in
The Discovery was cheap, in fact it was possibly the deal of the day (if you like that sort of thing) but it didn't sell for $45000 it actually went for $55000 plus fees and pre delivery and warranty is was more like $61000 plus registration, safety gear and accessories.. (realisticlly about $115000 worth new)
The part i didn't like was that the boats were sold as "this one is $120000 retail so its cheap. "But the tag on the boat would read $97000 That one sold for $77500 plus fees so about $84300 plus license, safety gear and accessories. SO often what seemed like value wasn't.
Also most boats and motors were very old stock. One of the new engines i saw was a 2007 model but sold as brand new..
The Searay's went cheap and most items were not bad value for the end user with about a 15 to maybe 20% saving for them.

i bid on a few of the
i bid on a few of the trailers -23-25 foot with breakaway system - there were 4, 3 went for 6-7k the last one which was 5 years old and "looked like it had never been in the water" yeah right! - went for 9k + fees - you could get a brand new one for about 1k more!
I dont think there were many bargains, essentially if it was 15-20% margin over new then they probably got their money back (their cost) !!

Actually one went for $5500
Actually one went for $5500 plus fees. You'd be pissed it you'd paid $9000 for teh last one.
I like how the 2009 250 searay went for $75000
Then the next boat 2010 260 searay went for $75000 as well.
Or the first 2010 240 searay went for $$70000
then the same boat went for $62500 and another for $66000.
The chandlery stuff went for silly prices. Was a interesting day though..

Thanks for clarifying re the
Thanks for clarifying re the Discovery, Rod. It certainly was interesting. I wonder if all the sales actually went through. The Maxum 2900 is still there, as is at least one of Sea Ray 240s, and I think one of the bigger Sea Rays as well.
