Hi Blake

If you want some material on the West Coast Bioregion V5 ban, perhaps PM Terry F from RFW and he could point you in the right direction. Alternatively, have a look at the RFW website, the recent Stateline transcript and the Dept of Fisheries website.

Information on Rec Fishing rule changes

Tue, 2008-07-29 09:47

Blake

It's a big topic which could be treated lots of different ways and could fill lots of different articles.

There is a summary and lots of links to all the Dept of Fisheries and Minister's papers in the appendix to http://www.recfishwest.org.au/MediaStateWestCoastRec2008.htm

That's not the same as articles about all that - but it is some of the facts.

The Stateline segment http://www.abc.net.au/stateline/wa/content/2006/s2296478.htm got lots of criticisms for the way it handled the topic....

Today Tonight had a segment which handled different parts but they don't put all transcripts on their website.

what ban????

It's only a ban once it's law mate...

lets hope it's only proposed changes and amended legislation....with common sense and science prevailing.

ps, wait for the Liberal Party stance and document to come soon...

then we will see a small shift by Labor and a few gives & takes, and finally I hope a sensible outcome.

but good on you to raise the awareness at school and other places, just don't copy Today Tonights bull... :-O

IMO, you're better off looking at the 'source' material. Websites will give you opinion, interpretation and so on. Nothing wrong with that, but, from where you are coming from and what you are doing, I think 'core' material (such as it is) would be 'better'.
