Yeah its a great braid mate, as flangies says, I only have praise for it but lately have tried a few different braids as I like to try everything out. Will always come back to it...

Overpriced.....
I went through 2 spools of PE 0.8 within 6mths and only used it for breaming and bit of squidding. The stuff wears out so quick, but then to keep it in good nick, you'll have to buy the Varivas PE spray to maintain it. Sorry, I don't pay $90 for 120m of braid and then spend another $25 on a bottle of magic to maintain it.
That's why I use Sunline Super PE, its relatively tough and smooth. Sure its not 8ply and smooth as silk but hey I get more than 12mths out of it for half the price!!

Thats pretty strange, didnt
Thats pretty strange, didnt wear out much for me and I used it in saltwater quite regularly. I am pretty sure its in 150m spools as well and I had never used the spray on it and it was awesome for a long time. Regular Sea bass is also not an 8 ply but it is one of the smoothest 4 plys out.
Each to their own but I have also never seen it at $90. If you look around you can get it a lot cheaper than even $80.
Do you guys stock Varivas Honsu?

I had the silver grey stuff
I had the silver grey stuff which is the Avani Max power version of the Seabass. Maybe its a dodge batch or something I did. 2 Spools in a row was enough to put me off abit.
Although I do use the Varivas braid in the heavy stuff, I still prefer Sunline for quality and value.

Yeah that changes it a bit, I have not used the MAX power version as much hey. I was more referring to the green seabass! I am using a Sunline PE .8 at the moment for light plastics so I will see how that goes and tell you if I am still a Varivas man!
