went down there bymyself fishermn19992 didnt show up either of the nights i ahd nothing grab the big rod but got tailor for the the bait on the smaller one
hahaha sorry young yakker it was a little to windy for me haha but i might head down another time soon on a warm night and for the fishing mate there isnt a drip off there isnt reef there is just sharks lol random but we use a sneal rig with a running star sinker with a live herring or tailor fillets just off the beach
there is a very deep drop off that comes in close to shore, i think it drops off to something like 20m and is only about 40m's off shore at the closest part.. dolphins swim freely around only a few meters from shore.
I have kayaked baits out and set them both on the surface ( balloons with 3m trace) and on the bottom.. have also ballooned baits out when the wind makes it possible.. and have fished with Ragbag who slides his baits out. Have never had any hook ups with baits on the surface.. but have had many with the bottom baits, all rays though that have been rather large!
There must be some decent sharks there though... just havnt been able to find them
just googled it and its a fair bit south for me, always good to try somewhere new though. Really getting into slide baiting so anywhere with a nice drop off sounds tempting
