The weather gods must be crazy
So we made plans for yesterday (Friday) to punch out wide from Two rocks for a big day of demersal fishing. We studied all the weather sites Meteye, Fishranger, Seabreeze etc etc and they all agreed right up to the last time I checked at 4am. Light winds 8-10 knots max with a drop off in the arvo, that's the only thing they got right.
Ha ha well they all F^%%ked up. Got to the ramp and it was a good 15-20 with a shit chop, still headed out as the swell was pretty well correct at 1m but what a washing machine. Watched some clowns who looked like they'd been on the claret all night head out in a small runnabout ya gotta wonder.
Anyway one deckie was providing burley and I was a bit green as I wasn't in my usual skippering role and not kept busy.
But in the end we found some interesting ground before we hit any of Colin's marks and came up trumps with a couple of nice Dhuies amd Blackarse. Undersize Pinkys were thick out there with I reckon about 8 or nine released.
Thanks again for the day Colin, your boat is a weapon and handled the sea beautifully.

I'm not sure, the guy Colin
I'm not sure, the guy Colin bought it off was living in Darwin at the time. But lives down here now, a tech working at INPEX.

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Outwide
i went out at 7 yesterday and agree it was a mess. I was struggling to hold 18-20knots.
The fish were on the bite so we had a pretty good day as wel.
