hi just wondering if anyone on here has one of those wireless weather stations like the ones Jaycar sell, if so are the worth it or are they just cheap ( at $130+) not so cheap plastic rubbish?

weather station WOFTM
Don't waste time and money on them I got a Canadian made one from the people you mentioned, broiught the power pack to go with it as I mounted the sensors up on the roof to get clean wind etc and didn't want to get up on the roof changing batteries every other week. I't only lasted 5 months then stopped sending signals to the reading station in the house. To me a lot of $$ for 5 months life, willy weather is a better way to go

mrs just bought me one
It has a wireless function and can also store the info via a usb that records the data. Every week or so you simply plug the usb into your pc and it can map out weather patterns ect.
i am yet to install it as I was only given the weather station as a present a few days ago but will let you know what it is like once up and running

sounds like the one I was looking at scano, might stay away from them after the bad reports though.
