Week Three Footy Finals
Submitted by tim-o on Thu, 2012-09-20 21:35
Tomorrow night's game is Jude Bolton's 300th, not good news for Pies fans IMO. 2 weeks prep, the Hawks train is guna be UNSTOPPABLE! Brownlow tips...........gota be Mitchell! Love the way Watson plays tho, another Rob Harvey, Adam Goodes, Great leaders. Cotch had a good year too. Dark Horse....Beams. One thing's for sure, Buddy WILL get all 6 votes for his bag against the Roos in round 10

Adelaide to defeat hawks by
Adelaide to defeat hawks by 22 (wishful crows supporter ere) Beams or Thompson for the brownlow. Sydney to hopefully get over Collingwood. Realistic prediction Hawks Vs Sydney GF

Interesting weekend
Shame about the weather but I will go fishing anyway. Take the dog up for a run and sink a few Crownies whilst listening to the action. With all the lip you have dished out this year timo I go for the Crows but hey; that's just a fun thing.
Brownlow is anyone's guess IMO. No way Goodes, doubt Watson. With new teams in and all the poaching it could end up Ablett but again, IMO it will come from the top sides, as it should.

Wasnt tippin goodes, or wato, just compared wato to harvey and goodes but like the way he plays, discussed him as he is tipped to poll well. Only gave the lip coz Iv been confident all year!

Confidence
Pies building nicely, heading on a mission north chock full of confidence. We travel well + the wood on Sydney vs weeks rest = tight one, Pies by 9 points.

pies by 25, got some good
pies by 25, got some good momentum, they wont let the swans get the jump on them early like WCE did last week, however goals need to come from the midfield, cracker and cloke might kick 8 between them, but 8 wont win the game.
Hawthorn.... by a mile i'd say. Adelaide has had a good season, but lack experience in finals and on the big stage against the best tema in the league and probably the most exciting brand of footy in a long time, hawks will dominate. probably 35 points.

Kidding yourselves lads. Swans by 19 against the Pies, followed by a tight GF against the Hawks, marching on to become 2012 premiers! Up the Swannys!!!

Yerr, the pies improved after
Yerr, the pies improved after half time last week to play some of the footy they were renouned for but still made skill errors too frequently, especially the poor delivery and use of inside 50s. Need to fix this to take it to the swannies, more of a confidence thing rather capabilities coz we know they can beat the swans. Is swan carrying an injury too? Played forward a bit last week. We dont want what happened last year where the pies just pip a side that would have given the other grand finalist a decent go and considering their recent encounter, a hawks v swans gf would be epic. Swans by a couple of goals

I to am hoping for a crows
I to am hoping for a crows upset, but against the hawks with the extra rest I'm thinking we'll need some luck our way. Anythings possible on the day though. Not putting the boat on it though....
Also hoping swans knock the pies out (Port vs Collingwood games are the only ones I actually barrack for Port).

Finals are tough mate
Sydney have been serial pests for a number of years and will continue to be so. They will prove hard to beat at the G, doesn't matter who they play.

Nervous moments Tim-o
Hawks mid-field doing all the right things and the forwards look gun-shy. Adelaide doing a great job to half time. Time for another Crownie and see how the second half pans out. Go Adelaide LOL

Nothing like being magnanamous in victory or defeat.
Been out of reception range all day, but I bet your sphincter really started puckering when the Crows hit the front. Don't expect you (or tim-o) to admit that though.

I said that to my wife
A couple of opportunities late for Rioli and Franklin and averyone is talking them up. My slant on the game is that those two so callled heros displayed very poor skills when kicking at goals. Look at the stats. The Hawks should have killed Adelaide but they just got across the line and all becaause the dumb Adelaide runners couldn't get the time left out to the players.
Anyway, having said all of that, good win for the Hawks. Go Siderny LOL

Disapointing win......hah,
Disapointing win......hah, Crows played good, smart lead up to the game and the plan to bring their out of form forward into the game worked. Showed why they earnt a shot to play the GF, been good all year. Inaccuracy kept Adelade in the game and a credit to them to continually take the game on. As expected we burst outa half time as expected but the Crows still were able to hold us up and remained more effecient going forward. Still happy that we had what it takes to dig deep at the end. Shoenmakers nearly copped a remote in the head. Mitchell showed why hes a brownlow fancy as did Dangerfield and Thomo. Think the favoritism got in the Hawks heads but wont be the case this week, 50/50 should be a cracked GF. BT shits me now, the same crew commentating Saturdays better not be the case next week.....CARN HAWKS. Looks like Iv made it easy for all the other shit team supporters on here to choose a team to go for next week haha, lets not forget why you have to resort to that....I talked up a team that can go all the way, never good talkin up a team that never stood a chance LOL

will let them down. Thats their weak area.
It was a ordinary game IMO and the hawks would need to improve or there done.

Bit of a fallacy that the Hawks defence is shit. However, I will concede that there is a problem if the likes of Gibbo, Hodge etc can't get back to help out...the defence as a whole is strong but when Schoey is left one out then that's a big problem. The guy is still too physically weak to be competing with the likes of Tippet, hawkins etc.
Crows were very good, the way they were able to set up and just drive it up the guts and were far more efficient in their f50. They were far more cleaner than Hawthorn. Mitchell and Sewell were absolute gold. Realistically they should've won by six goals but bad kicking just seems to blight them. Too many gimmes just went begging. Gonna be interesting....bit far out but I heard there is a possibility of some showers GF day.
