I'm just home for a couple of days before another trip.
My last jaunt was as guest of the Exmouth Game Fishing club at their yearly tourney called Gamex.
In brief it's the best run tourney in Australia that I've been to, especially this year as it was in their brand new $1.5 mill game club in the Marina overlooking Exmouth Gulf, that is big enough to seat 350 people.
Stats for the Tourney were approx 480 tagged Bill fish ranging in sizes from 10 to 160kg. 2,500 shots for 40 boats fishing the division. Around 60 cherries popped in the tourney, including 2 in the last 15 mins of the tourney for an 8 and 9 year old boys fishing with their dads. Winning boat was Mahi Mahi 2 from Coral Bay for Skipper Bernie Vale fishing with his sons in the team. They got around 28 tags with the 2nd place getters missing out by one fish.
Next year the club will be hosting the AIBT along with the Gamex tourney.
Worth putting it in your calender for 2011!

i see you live up here as well ,have you been fishing lately ?? my fishing has been good on the last 2 trips thanks for that Alan

Unfortunately I am Perth based however having recently gone into semi retirement the plan is to spend more time up there than I have in recent years.
