Went to south street tackle to buy a rod today

I ended up getting something called phfluger trion combo 2-4kg.

Seems nice but I was wondering if anyone has seen them or used them. I know the guys down there wouldn't do what Bcf did but it has me worried. The reviews on it seem to say that even a whiting will snap it. Having spent 200 on it I know isn't a huge amount, but still...

Lol well I am accident prone so.....

But seriously I do wonder sometimes if these reviews I read are just bored or disgruntled ppl who Molina for sake of it. It seems a nice little rod but it feels so flimsy after using my 20kg uglystick.

Yep, let out some line and hand-lift the fish up if small, otherwise you may want a net or gaff or run the risk of the line breaking or hook pulling

I've had a Trion for a few years, lovely little rod, mines been used and abused (don't recommend the abusing bit) and it's still a rod I will choose over some more expensive rods. Honestly, after you've used it you won't be dissapointed

Brilliant rod!
Have got the Pflueger Trion Hi Modulus HM-43 Graphite Artificial bait series Light Fast 2-5kg Hard Body rod with a Abu Garcia 6500 C3 reel. Mackerel and rat tuna slayer!
It is beautifully made and finished.
Use it as a trolling rod and flicking it in Bait schools.
Another one I use is the Plueger Echelon High Modulus Graphite same line class with a Daiwa overhead, same brilliant rod!
