Wesbters Twinfisher 5.2 Runabout

Well we took the new boat out for a good run on Sunday. Headed out to the ore boats around 30-35 kms out to chase some sailfish. Wind on the way out was a little choppy and it picked up to a fresh 18 knots for the trip home. Perfect conditions to see how she handles. With 4 adults on board she punched through the chop with ease (mind you, we've fitted it with a 140hp outboard which is over the max rated 120hp). More suitable to fish 3 people comfortably though. The clears kept people in the cab nice a dry while the boat did all the rest of the work :)

Warranty/Insurance ???
Nice looking boat the Webster and a good size too.
Just curious about the warranty and Insurance Jay. (Dont take these questions the wrong way).
Fitting a motor over the Max recommended usually voids the hull warranty, was the dealer happy to cover the warranty on this or is this something you guys just did anyway?
Also the insurance company - Have you had any problems getting insurance as youve fitted a motor that the hulls not rated for?

We contacted the manufacturer and dealer about fitting the bigger outboard and they both approved it. The 140hp suzuki is around the same weight as the 115 which is why it wasn't a problem.

Good to hear
Good to know theres some good dealers and manufacturers out there Jay who are a little flexible when it comes to this sort of thing. I take it the insurance is ok as well having the OK from the manufacturer.
Good motor that 140 Suzuki.

Ooh Aah
Very nice Jay, gotta be happy with that! I thought about getting one once before I got my boat but I could only find the smaller ones in centre console at the dealers and wasnt that keen, but that is a nice looking ride.
