Wet box install recommendations
Submitted by CD on Sun, 2019-08-04 11:41
Hi guys
I’m having issues getting readings from my sounder over around 15 knots. It’s caused by the mount for the transducer which is pretty crap. Rather than replace the mount I figured I’d just go for a wet box install. The boat is a Haines 580 breeze and is running a TM260. Can anyone please recommend someone who could do the wet box installation for me?? I’ve searched on here and can find people who have done it themselves, but couldn’t find recommendations for places that do the installs.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Alan James

nice job
Tell me more Stev. What gear are you running there and sounder? and how have they sealed the transducers through the hull?
I want to up grade my the sounder to a Furuno 295 but the obvious is the 2 transducers and were to fit them. Your set up maybe the answer as i dont want to run two big goorila transom mounts at the back.
Its on a 6.5 Haines Hunter, the space between the transom and the fuel tank in the bildge maybe a squeeze for me but.
