What species would you target here?

Found this nice isolated spot today. On the south coast near hopetoun. Wondering what I should be targeting! Any ideas or is it even a good spot to try?

Looks great & definitely
Looks great & definitely worth fishing. There would definitely be tailor get in there, most likely salmon to. Mulloway & small sharks would be likely catches as well. Tarwhine, herring & big skippy would love that place & would provide some fun while you wait for the bigger species to through.
Just because I smile & nod does not mean I believe the crap coming out of your mouth.

Looks like 12 mile
Looks like 12 or 13 mile lagoon. Have fished there many times with mixed results. Ussual southern species like herring, salmon , whiting and skippy.
Make sure you take some burley to get the fish excited, and keep the burley trail going with small amounts often.

It's the west side of 5mile.
It's the west side of 5mile. Not very deep, I'd say no more then 3-4 m.

Ok
Ok , still as i said above . Most of those spots along the coast all fish the same. Some times they get nice holes in them and some times they fill up with sand.
The main part of the 5 mile is one of my favorite . There is usualy a nice hole and gutter right on the beach at the open ( east ) end of the lagoon. You can also stand on the reef there if the swell is down . The main 5 mile lagoon is realy nice and deep and holds queen snapper , blue groper and sharks at certain times of the year . Just a bit hard to land fish there if the swell is up .
Cheers Grant .
