1. Big Baldchin Grouper2.
1. Big Baldchin Grouper
2. 33Lb Mulloway on 8Lb braid... Baby Charlie Court was about 80mm long on 100Lb hand line with 9/0 hook
3. Not rare but unusual... Monster sea mullet using occy for bait.. Caught when working on the snapper boats using the Alvey reels bolted to the gunwhales.. (Dirk Hartog)
4. Either a Mako or Spinner shark.. Both put up awesome fights... Although foul hooking a big Tuna in the tail really makes you think you have hooked a russian sub!!!
5. A MASSIVE cod.. Measured nearly 3m in length. Unfortunately pulled up from about 120m of water. Broke my heart when watching it float off into the sunset!!! Silly bugger had grabbed a big pinkie that was on the bottom hook when snapper fishing out back of Bernier.

Catch
1 Favourite fish to catch ---salmon on light gear using metals
2 Biggest fish on light line, 62lb gilled and gutted Mulloway on 15lb line, 10.00 in the morning off the rocks west of Parry's inlet
3 most rare catch, pulled up a 7.5hp Johnson outboard in the net off Cape Naturaliste and a week later got a 3metre sawfish in the same area.
4 Pound for pound would have to be batfish on light gear.
5 Most Memorable----- Watching a metre plus tailor take the lure not more than 15 metres from me when fishing off the other side of the Gascoyne river mouth and the worst one would be seeing the lure come out on its first jump not 10 metres from where I was fishing 10 seconds later

Favourites
1) Pretty much anything, just love fishing!
2) Approx. 70kg bronze whaler on 8kg mono from the beach at Red Bluff, Kalbarri. Next best probably 20kg GT on 6kg mono land based at Waroora. Can't remember smallest fish on heaviest line? Probably a 500g Charlie Court on 15kg when bottom fishing up north.
3) 4-5kg Bonefish on the shoals east of Turtle Bay
4) Bonefish in 3)
5) Catching 6-10kg Red Emperor one after the other in 10m of water on 6kg mono on unweighted baits meant for mackerel a few kms off Point Sampson as a teenager 30 years ago. Was a memorable session!
