What's on at Yanchep & Two Rocks

Hi all,

This is my first post and a new member to the site.

Just want to know good fishing spots up near Yanchep and Two Rocks and what fish are biting.

Any tips and tricks would be great thanks.

Really depends on what size

Really depends on what size boat you have ? Are you bottom bashn ? Trolln ? Plenty of demersals in close, sound around for structure and find fish, lots of berley and unweighted baits. Offshore, if you have no idea, look at your gps and sounder, follow contours, it's pretty basic, while your there troll a few lures for pelagics. As for spots, put in the work and you will find plenty of spots with the above guide and a hell of alot more rewarding.

 Try the beaches south

Try the beaches south yanchep mate just find a good gutter and you will find mullas and tailor depending on the weed. If you have a 4x4 wilbinga will normally give you a few fish. The groin at old club cap good for herring and tailor. Hope that helps

Big Rock

Try fishing the beach left of the bigger of Two Rocks at first light if there is no weed. Use mulies or a chrome slice lure for tailor.

Or just to the south of the smaller of the Two Rocks  for whiting and herring.

Take the walkway down to the beach Dame Patty drive and try for herring, whiting , tailor or chance of a mulloway

There is a path off the road

There is a path off the road that leads to a reef just north of the marina. Get pretty much anything there bait casting gets tailor surface float rig gets the big gars small lures gets herring and bottom gets whiting when its flat calm theres squid there too. Been quiet there lately but through winter its always good. Walk 200m north and the reef clears and there is normally some good gutters on offer. Been fishing there since i could walk and talk

Two Rocks spots

Mon, 2020-01-13 14:26

 Hi all,

This is my first post, too!  I also would really appreciate a hint or two on where to go around Two Rocks.  Only beach fishing, but have 4WD.  Rob90, I presume the marina you refer to is Two Rocks?

Two Rocks

The townsite is called Two Rocks because of the 2 rock outcrops that stood out on the shoreline before the marina was built.

The big rock referred to is om the southern wall of the marina and the small rock is approx 150 metres south of that. Both stand about 5-7 metres tall

Thanks Carnarvonite & Rob.  I presume there are some decent spots north of the marina too.
