Guys,

Wanting to book a trip up to exmouth for me and 3 mates.

Got my own boat now so this will be our first trip. When is a good time to go up there? was thinking may/June.

Google map is a good start. Its not like the TV makes it out.

Basically picture a big inland roadhouse, thats not open very often - thats exmouth - when you get there you will see what I mean.

It is a handy place though, especially when you need fuel during Gamex.

The best time to go there in my opinion would be around March to June with April being the best time. Great weather and stuff all wind

Yep

April - June and some good stuff in July, after that its pretty windy.  Nice day up here today though, sounds like a few fish being caught, guys having to go very wide to find anything that looks like blueish water due to the turbo green snot stirred up from the cyclone.

As for Accomo, call Mark at Ray White Exmouth and let them know you are from fishwrecked, they are site sponsors and will look after you with info and any details you need.  Keep an eye on the site as well, they will be putting up some rentals soon.

I always plan a trip in  the last two weeks in April. This year 2 week stint in the  Kimberley!! Any earlier is a high  risk of cyclones leave it too late and the wind will blow

Aaron, we stay in a rental

Aaron, we stay in a rental (ray white) when we go up.  Its pretty much brand new and fully furnished- beats taking heaps of gear up for a caravan park.  Used to stay at Yardie Homestead.  That is good for fishing the west side as its close to tantabiddi, but a bugger if there is a big swell or westerly winds and you need to go the other side.  Town is best compromise for fishing the west side and the bottom of the gulf where you will have more fun with the wand.

from April to August shoud get you a window of goodweather/ winds for some part of your stay.

We used to do an annual Coral Bay trip in July/August and always had good weather (2 or 3 20kn+ days though)

Got a crew heading up to Exxy in May staying at 1 of the Ray White rentals. Can't wait!

My son and I always go in

Sun, 2012-02-05 19:28

My son and I always go in April as this time of year wind is a bit down. We stay at exmouth cape village as the tent sites are big enough for 9 person tent ,4x4 and 6m boat. you can use the great cooking  facilities undercover and meet all sorts of people (some i have seen for years) and clean your mess in the same area. beats making a mess at tent site. boat cleaning and a pool with good looking chicks also.

cheers neville

Yes the gulf was crap last year.  Full of weed and lots of tiny snook.  And cold water.

Wade... you suck.
