Where exactly is Palm Beach Jetty?

Heard it was a good and long jetty to fish, so I'm gonna gonna go there with a groupe of friends on Wednesday evening. Theres a couple jettys around Rockingham, but which one is exactly it? Looked it up on google map cant find it.

Cheers.

Ps what sort of fish is available there?

When I was a young fella the Palm Beach jetty was opposite the Palm Beach Deli,on the Esplanade as mentioned in an above post, would be close to Fisher or Bell st on that map. That big one is the Kwinana Grain Jetty,I dont think you can get on it legally.

Yeah sorry!!

Landy Andy is right - I was one magnifaction of the map short and saw the sweeping bend (I park on the corner of the Esplanade to swim in Mangles Bay) and navigated from there!! Shouldn't do it so early in the morning......

On the Esplanade and I reckon Fisher St would be about bang on.

take a squid jig, they are fairly prolific around there.

if your fishing

Mon, 2009-12-28 15:09

after dark then take some glow lights down and fish small unweighted baits in decent pollard/tuna oil burley trail... small baits of blue sardines, prawns or tiny strips of mulie will all work.. once you catch a few yellowtail try using tiny strips of it as bait, has always got me plenty of yakkas, herring, choppers and sometimes slimies.. also there seem to be a few squid about..so take a small jig. cheers.

I used to fish the ASI groyne a fair bit,was always good for tailor and in the right weather the odd snapper.

I havent lived in the metro area for 20 years now so things may have changed for the worse.
