winds are up over 20 knot SE over the period your there. Swell between 2.5 - 3 metres.
I'd say you would be taking a risk getting out that river mouth!

I wouldn't go through the mouth when its rough, it's suicidal, u'll see what everyone means when you get there.
Stay inside the river and go to the northern side of the mouth where there is a reef, and you can cast popper and mulies out nere the whitewater around the reef and catch tailor.
Or you can head about 7-8km upstream to castle rock, where you can catch good sized bream.

THat night I sat on the jetty
THat night I sat on the jetty I watched some nav lights approaching from out at sea and thought this is going to be interesting! The boat came in the mouth no issues what so ever. Either a local or very very familiar with the entrence. No way would I attempt it in the daylight without a good briefing from a local and in calm weather, let alone at night! Either that or they were relying on the GPS which is a bit silly in somewhere so tight.

hey there, used to be my
hey there, used to be my favorite fishing destination, fish at the beach of wittikara( or something like that) creek, heaps of mulloway and tailor. Also try to get out on kalbarri explorer around 200 buck i think now, sure to get good quality fish and a good day out.
also dont forget your crabnets, the jetty near the boats at the end has big blue manna and huge mudcrabs at night.
during my young and stupid days used to find the most dangerous rock fishing places and clean up on tailor, mulloway and also got a couple of baldies. but a safer option is chinaman rocks near the mouth, fished there many times but only got a few fish there.
good luck
