Which site do you believe

After 5 months of doing up the Craigie house we bought in June, it looks like I will be able to take the dinghy out to catch a few whiting on Sunday. Seabreeze showqs that winds will be gentle at around 5-6 knots until the middle of the day. I did a check on Willy Weather and that site shows that winds will be more like 16 knots. How can there be such a difference? My tub is an older (much older) Pongrass of about 14.5 feet and not as wide as the newer boats, so I have to be pretty careful of conditions. Also, I'm new to the Ocean Reef/Hillaries area and don't know where all the reef structures are.
Any views on Sunday and the expected conditions will be helpful.
Thanks
Baz

I always use
I always use www.buoyweather.com (have premo subscription) and that's good 90% of the time. I usually try and check also using Navionics Android App and using the BOM interactive maps (online).
Seabreeze and willyweather I've found to be unreliable.

just wait til its
just wait til its closer-theres a reason why BOM provides fairly vague reports 4 days ahead, and they supply all the data to other enitities that rebadge it as their own.

ive just been doing a bit of
ive just been doing a bit of weather watching myself Poppy and seen the same difference - im watching it pretty closely as i want to be able to head out to wrecks/containers out the back of Rotto on Sunday and dont want any suprises......
As Rob H as said you only really get a better idea a day or 2 before you go - Seabreeze changes from day to day.
Torquenfish - thanks for the forecast i usually look at Bouyweather a day before i head out

I wouldnt hold high hopes
I wouldnt hold high hopes with that forecast. Lookin at the wind directions, looks to be something other than a regular local weather pattern

Up at Clifheads via Leeming on the weekend
Friday Saturday Sunday and WILLY WEATHER got it very wrong. Same down at Cape Riche early this year.
They predicted 15-17 knots on Sat we got a mill pond nearly all day and night
They predicted 17-21 knots on Sun we got another mill pond up until we left at 11am
Down at Cape Riche they forecast good conditions for the three days we where down there.... blow its arse off all the time and couldn't get the boat in.
Enough said

Bouyweather premium,
Bouyweather premium, seabreeze, windguru and I've been using the new BOM Meteye lately aswell. It's pretty good and shows where the winds are likely to be strengthening/weakening with three hourly forecasts even offshore behind Rotto.
wont let me post link for some reason...
google BOM Meteye and click wind forecasts bottom LHS

If you really want to fish,
If you really want to fish, use Willyweather...always kind to the fisherman (they will be sued one day for their incompetence!)
If you want to wind/kitesurf use wind guru...pretty accurate for those specific regions
Going out wide I use Buoyweather
BOM can be good although if the work experience kids are in it can be mayhem
Seabreeze is okay for the specified areas
Reading the weather map is best bet combined with a couple of the above

I fish inshore from Hillarys
I fish inshore from Hillarys (go a bit behind the 3 mile thats it) and I use willyweather, windfinder and BOM for forecasts. I only use seabreeze occasionally to look at the plotted winds (history), and will always refer to BOM forecast and the live wind data from baywind just before headin out. My tub is only 15 ft and generally always fish in the mornings when the easterly is desirably 10kn or less but can fish incloser when it blows harder, like trollin the beaches for tailor in summer when the easterlies blow hard. I cant be arsed with chop and gettin wet, Its a small boat. If you dont go far, then its not hard to get back if the wind blows up. Having charts is a must I think, and if you have a smart phone, the 18 bucks for the Navionics app is money well spent, you can navigate and have reference of where the reefs are, there's a few in the areas you mentioned.
