While we've got this topic open can I ask a question about Whitehills/Tims Thicket/Preston

Someone said there was an inshore reef there. Does the reef come all the way to the shore or is it a few metres out?

The reef is in tims thicket and it comes to the shore. Fished there about a month ago....nothing to rave about. Might need to burley to bring them in. Good luck

 tims thicket is ok! ive always gone a good few kms south on  whitehills and smashed the herring and whiting and occasional flathead or dart! but best tailor mulloway spots are anywhere either side of the house on the hill for a km
