G'Day Guys,
I'm heading to Busso Jetty on Saturday morning and not being picked up for a good few hours, been any good action there lately?
Hopefully the average weather might bring around some good fishies.
Also, i see on a few pics that there is fish cleaning stations along the way, are they still active? Any advice on fishing etc?
Come on... Spill :)

Always find tailor
Whenever i go there , what i do is walk up and down the jetty looking for the schools of bait fish, once i find them i cast a unweighted mulie on gang hooks just past them then do a slow retrieve back, this method you get tailor, snook and occasionally a shovel-nose ray, they are not the most impressive sized fish but still good bit of fun. Majority of the time if tailor is around you'll get your a decent feed. Not sure whether the fish cleanig staitons are active or not.
Also if your ever bored you always try for squid

Best fishing
by far is at night. Been a great season for Mulloway with fish caught every night.
You should be able to get some bread and butter species, Tailor, Skippy, Squid etc.

The art of fishing consists of casting, winding, trolling and jigging
while freezing, sweating, swatting and swearing.

Two of us went down there,
Two of us went down there, set a big rod and nothing for hours. Caught a heap of herring and a blackfish (blue eye) then I tried a live herring, nothing, brough it back in, threw it in again, wham, big bite. Half the herring gone, threw it back, same thing. Live baited a couple more times, more big strikes but unable to hook up. Thinking it might have been a ray or a big squid.
Not alot of action there in the morning from others either. I hunted down an old Italian bloke who said Sat night will be great but I couldn't stay.
Hope others had better luck!

Would have been a decent
Would have been a decent tailor I guess. Was it bitten in half with the back end gone or was it chewed just behind the top of the head ?

in SA (i might be wrong?) but so far i have never heard of a fish cleaning station on a jetty, let alone seen one (the odd caravan park here or there pehaps but very few (likely none) public use fish cleaning stations
