Whiting showing on sounder

Is it possible to get whiting to show up on a sounder or are they too close to the bottom to define. If some one has a screen capture showing confirmed whiting it would be very much appreciated if they could post it, I'm still learning to read what I'm being shown on the screen.

vaguely remember a post where someone dropped a go-pro down to look at a spot, and found kg,s. Was also a small dhu and a cray in one pic from memory. I can remember the pics but not much else sorry!

i went out yesterday chased
i went out yesterday chased some whitting for bait, had one big show on my sounder, thought it was one solid fish turned out to be a school of sand whitting. so maybe they show as a school not as a single.
edit: i was in 30m of water

I posted a screen shot last year here: fishwrecked.com/forum/whiting-sounder-shot Had a good session landing double headers and they were even biting baitless hooks. All good sized fat buggers too.

Even my old FF 50 sounder
would show whiting easy..
I've spent half my life fishing.. The other half I have wasted..
