Wilbinga or Moore River or...

Gday folks,
Was going to take some friends up to wilbinga on Saturday arvo for a fish and a barbie, but I figured every Man and his dog will be there, So my question and is about any other options?
I was also toying with the idea of taking the up Moore river in the tinny, does anybody have some recent feedback regarding the river, condition, fishing, access, how far up? , any good spots to pull up for a stubbie.
Any other good day trip areas around Perth?

a bit of weed around, and lots more coming by the look of the water when I was out wide on tuesday.
Wedge Island is another option

Yes my brother has been up there for a couple of days now doing minor repairs to the shack and says its relatively unfishable thanks to the weed.
