Willing to Trade??? GPS spots

Moving back down to the semi-big smoke - namely Mandurah.

I am fully ware of the GPS protection.

What I was wondering is whether anyone moving up to Kcity/Dampier was willing to trade a few good beginners GPS spots. I am not talking the best ones (you wont get mine) but a few spots to get started, so that when you go down or up you have a few sure fire spots. I have 3 on offer.

What we call Snapper City - gauranteed a feed and the odd Coral trout and a few Reds in shallow water. Full of Blue lines and Spangies. Normally get our feed in 30m max.

Hot spot - caught 15 different species on this one in 1 day, and there dont include non keepers and sharks.

The reef - Coral trout every time. Platics best, but even caught by the Mrs and she only like Squid as bait. If I am bait fishing use mulies only, but plackies bomb the area.

These spots arent our best, but whilst learning the in's and outs are a great way to start.

Cheers

Neels

I have some Perth/Rotto spots, but never had a big boat out of Mandurah, so limited. I am into exploring and love nothing better than finding your own ground, but times would be limited due to FIFO Dr's duties.

No such luck (yet)

Wont be leaving full time. So still may get out for a fish. But have to start sussing out the mandurah area. Can always troll for tailor in the cut, cruise for a crab or 2, drop a craypot, go to the Murray for a bream, and a stop at the Ravo for a beer.

And marron and prawns on the list.

Definately a different level

Mon, 2012-10-08 17:40

Definately a different level of potential aquatic activities in the Mandurah area along with fishing. Old days having a beer at the Ravo listening to the top fuelers or funny cars off in the distance at the track - eye opener for a Pilbara youngster. Lloyd Jones, Alan Dobson, Jim Patterson, Jim Read etc loudest things by far id ever heard umtil I got married and had kids!

Good luck anyways mate

Gota be lucky to see a full

Mon, 2012-10-08 21:06

Gota be lucky to see a full noise pass by both fuelers or funnies these days in Perth, if there is two that line up that is, mega bucks for dissapointment, but when you do its an awesome thing to see, feel and hear. Doorslammers for me, good size field, and ultra competative, been a few years since I used to go down when we looked after a few cars, think the young bloke is due to be introduced to some big horsepower and the speedway this season. Carn Zap, for 6 titles in a row!

Cant take rally out of the boy

Tue, 2012-10-09 08:09

Miss the early day with the anti-lag system "banging" as the WRC's came into corners. Could here them from miles away. Just love the scream of some off the highly tunes 4c and 4c boxer engines in the Rex's. At the sound of breaks, syspension under pressure and dirt spewing off wheels and it was a sight and sound to behold.

I was lucky in my role - As chief safety officer I got very very close to the action, trying to protect those idiot European photographers who tried to sit in the driver's lap.

Many a good memory of Bunning's jumps and splash. Had some fun there over the yrs.

But then dont mind any tuned engine noise.

QUALIFYING

Tue, 2012-10-09 11:38

If you go to top fuel or door slammers,go down on the friday night for qualifying. Get to see the full field of cars run 3 passes, heaps better value than just seeing the top 8 cars.

Door slammers are awesome but you cant beat a top fueller. Love taking down newbies and watching there reaction after first pass, priceless

TD's and TA's are the bomb,

Tue, 2012-10-09 14:23

TD's and TA's are the bomb, strong local fields also helps too TF will be good this year looking at the revised Perth round format, very much like the SCO, SC, CB and TC method they do now. I've hooked Neels up with 30 spots off my GPS that i will never use *that may change one day i dunno* so he just has to leave me some fish on them if they are any good, i MAY drag the 625 down for a fish in Jan or Neels is taking me out as thanks for the WP's. :)
