If you have an ESE wind does that mean tha wind is blowing from tha East and tha South going North West or is it blowing from tha North West going South East?

Wind
Wind direction is stated as from where it comes from---ESE wind is going towards WNW.The wind is stated as ESE
Water currents are stated in the direction they are flowing == if it is flowing from the south to the north it is a northerly current.
Where you said East and South isn't right .
Half way between East and South is South east and ESE is another 22.5 deg further to the east

Once I get tha wind sorted I'll work on currents!!LOL

Tailor
Tailor usually like a fresh SW sea breeze turning up a bit of white water

I will keep an eye open for a good morning
With SW winds and a small swell and I may have a good FW tale to tell!!
