Xmas Island Questions

 Hi Guys,

Any chance any of you have speared over at Christmas Island?  I'm there for a week in June and am contemplating taking the robbie allen over with me.

I know it turns deep very quickly around the island but are there any nearshore areas to ping a trout or two??

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Cheers

Do us a favour, tie ur float line to the front of any dodgy boat that rocks up and spear a huge whale in a non kill spot

A few spearos based there, get mid size hoo, yellowfin, the odd doggie. Reef fish are pretty clued up to divers in most areas. Great diving and the sharks aren't as nasty as coccos

hey merman,

i live on the island and spear a bit. there are fish here and you can usually chum up something. send us a message when the time is getting closer and i'll point you in the direction of a couple of spots. you'll definitely need a float and a car to get to spots. let me know if you've got any other questions but i might take a while answering (only on the web once a week or so).
