Yabbie pond

Setting up a grow out pond for yabbies. Have a lot of babies in another tank ready to transfer to this pond when I get the barrel filter set up. Anyone had a go at this I've got a bit of an idea but any helpful tips are most welcome.

You'd be mad not to turn it
You'd be mad not to turn it into an aquaponics setup... literally just add the grow bed to the top and you get veggies for free too!

Thats a good idea mate. Might go down that path after i see how it progresses for a while. I have an ibc aquqponics setup just next to this with four big silver perch in it and that's going well. Hardly requires any maintenance.

Yabbie pond
Ensure that any featherd pests cant access the area or the yabbies will dissapear and give them protection that they can hide in like clean tubing of some sort that will not break down or contaminate the water.
