Gday everyone ive got a 06 yamaha 115 2 stroke with 97hrs and having a few problems lately, problem is when i put throttle down while im at say 2000 3000rpm kinda bogs down nothing happens then 5 sec later starts taking off and sometimes wont speed up at all but when it gets over 3500rpm its fine.Had it serviced approx 5 weeks ago and have had my mechanic come down to water and said most likely dirty fuel so drained fuel tank refilled with premium checked fuel filter but still having same problem.I think it is a fuel or carby problem is there anything i could try? Any info at all much appreciated. Cheers everyone Nick

i am not the greatest motor
i am not the greatest motor man in the world but if it was me i would be looking for air leaks, pipe into motor pipe into tank, just has a distinct fuel issue easiest place to start anyway

Possibly a stator...
Drain your carbies first of all & add some carbie cleaner to the new fuel - sounds like a fuel blockage but could be a stator- I had a similar problem but my motor was older- it would run find then under load slow down then take off like it should at those rpms, then cough & splutter with a slight miss, chugg a bit and then go beautifully until the next episode- may be 2 mins or 20 mins later - very frustrating. Good luck with it.
